This is a module which I took in my second year. I have collected my best works to be shown here. During this module I was given a problem and creative brief. From there, I brainstormed and executed my ideas in the following works. I personally like cutesy stuff, things that make you feel happy when you look at them.
Internet + Peace
This was the first ever work I did for this module. The theme given for this piece was Internet and Peace. We were told to combine the concepts of internet and peace. What I did was to first draw it out by hand and then use illustrator and photoshop to digitize the piece. I tried to put my style into this piece by using cutesy happy characters and drawings.

Drink driving kills
This work was done for a test in this module. The text was given to us but we were to come up with the visuals for the poster. No photography was allowed so I opted to use Photoshop to come up with the visuals for this poster. I created the visuals using vector art for the car and brushes for the other visuals.

Smash Art
This project was a few weeks long and during this time we were to come up with a masthead, magazine cover and articles for an art magazine directed at professionals. I got to play around with editorial layouts, graphic designs and designing of a masthead. This project was a really good experience for me as I have an interest in publishing.
Singapore Stamps 2010 Casino Collection
This collection of stamps was designed with a Singaporean theme in mind. It was meant for release in year 2010. Since the casinos were slated to open this year, I decided to use a casino theme for my stamps. In my stamps, I used different aspects of the casino as the subject. I wanted my stamps to be simple and clean as stamps normally only have one main subject in them. I looked up images on the internet and used photoshop to edit them. I played around with different effects in photoshop until I achieved my desired effect. I used the same effect on all the designs so that they would look as though they belong to the same set.
Music in the Big Room Poster
This was yet another piece done for a test. The images and text were provided and we were to make use of the given resources to come up with a poster in a limited amount of time. I tried to imitate a grunge rock type of poster that is popular for a lot of bands. I also took into consideration the legibility and aesthetic appeal of the poster.
Rainbow Drops Poster
This poster was created for a new product by M&Ms called rainbow drops. We had to come up with all visuals for the poster, however we were also instructed to use the slogan of the product. The target audience for this poster was adults. I put the candy in an emergency box to create an appeal for the candy. By doing so it made the candy look forbidden and tempting which was the effect what I wanted to create.
